HARMEN DE HOOP: THE MILKMAN - DULLIKEN, 2023
Harmen de Hoop's father was a milkman. He delivered fresh milk in glass bottles, which were left outside the front door of the house. Homes didn't have refrigeration for perishable items, so daily milk delivery was necessary to prevent the milk from spoiling. However, the invention of the refrigerator and the arrival of supermarkets that sold milk at lower price led to a decline in the number of milkmen, and Harmen's father was forced to find other work. Being a milkman became a job of the past.

Transforming an apartment balcony into a subway car of an imaginary line. The installation was created in the popular neighborhood of San Cristòbal de Los Angeles, in Madrid.
"I often read superficial articles that simplify to: don't bring your work problems home, work stays at work!
Not considering that on average people spend more time outside for work reasons than at home with their family. So, ok, don't bring your work problems home, bring your home to work directly! At least you will have more time to dedicate to your life, while working".

HARMEN DE HOOP: TOURISM (A PROPOSAL) - FRANCE, 2023
The famous Lascaux Cave was closed to the public in 1963 because the carbon dioxide exhaled by visiting tourists rapidly began to affect the fragile cave art. A partial copy of the cave was built nearby, containing 90% of the prehistoric paintings. A more complete copy, named Lascaux 4, was made in 2016. It faithfully depicts the original cave: the painted and engraved murals, the cool and dark atmosphere, the humidity level and the particular acoustics of the cave. The greatest palaeolithic-painted cave ever discovered, the Chauvet Cave, never opened to the public, only scientists and other researchers can visit the original cave. The French Ministry of Culture built a € 60 million replica for tourists. Harmen de Hoop proposes that they also build a copy of the Taj Mahal, the most beautiful building in the world, to reduce the carbon footprint of tourism.

Biancoshock applied to an unfinished hotel a sign containing a reinterpretation of the Booking logo, highlightling how Albania is invaded by this kind of buildings, abandoned before they are even completed. The political class has always closed its eyes to this issue, allowing constructions without limitations and without opposing this process of uncontrolled overbuilding in any way.
By its definition, "booming" indicates a prosperous activity in strong expansion, as is this uncontrolled building development, mostly linked to plans to increase tourism, but often abusive or speculative, which alters and disfigures the natural landscape. The word "booming" also means "something resounding and thundering", just as does the environmental impact this buildings has on the landscape and the indifference of the political class regarding this environmental disaster.

What is progress? In the 1960s politicians declared that not only the rich but everybody had the right to own a car and the production of relatively cheap family cars made it possible. Now tens of thousands of cars standing still 23 hours a day take up more than 50 percent of the public space in our cities. In a conscious effort to improve air quality, reduce noise pollution and nurture healthy habits like walking and cycling, politicians are now trying to implement policies that limit car usage or even rule it out altogether.

For years, out-of-home ADV has been kidnapped, absorbed and suffocated by the Web ADV. There are thousands of unused billboards on the streets, many of them still have old messagges inviting you to contact them for renting spaces that are no longer functional for customers.
Biancoshock paid a sponsored post on Instagram (the most used social network for investing with Web ADV) to promote some billboards, creating a sort of Stockholm syndrome in ADV field: the victim, who initially hates and fears his executioner, ends up being attracted to him and surrenders to his power in a desperate attempt to survive.

HARMEN DE HOOP: NO IRISH NEED APPLY - AARAU, 2023
Beginning in the 1840s, Ireland's rotting potato crops drove hundreds of thousands of its people to flee to the United States. There, Irish immigrants encountered housing and employment discrimination. Window signs read "No Irish Need Apply", but, as with the "No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs" signs in England, there is doubt whether these signs were really widespread or that their existence is mostly a myth. Irish Americans insist that they "remember" seeing these signs, but there are no contemporary or historical accounts of one of these signs at a specific location and no authentic sign can be found in a British or American archive. Of course, that doesn't mean that Irish people were not discriminated against.

An unknown number of migrants arrive incessantly on the Italian coasts, hoping for a better future. Too many times an unknown number of people lose their lives on these dramatic trips. On an abandoned boat Biancoshock painted the national phone number 1530 preceded by #31# which is used to call as an unknown number the Coast Guard in case of an emergency at sea. The resulting phone number can conceptually be read as: "an unknown number of emergencies at sea".
