Dear Aunt,
after all these years I finally decided to use for the first time the fountain pen you gave me as a gift for my First Communion.
When you have chosen this to be my gift you certainly didn't know that, being left-handed, I would have serious difficulties to use it.
During Primary School this problem costed me hours and hours writing down pages as a punishment to make me learn how not to dirt again.
Dear Auntie, you don't know, but today I'm an artist and I decided to turn this 'defect' into a particularity.
Your gift inspired me to create this artwork for the project I'm doing with the Dutch artist Harmen de Hoop who gave me an assignment to make a work about a childhood memory.
