BIANCOSHOCK: A LETTER TO MY AUNT - MILAN, 2017 Biancoshock decides to write a letter to his great-aunt to turn an annoying memory of his childhood into an artwork. Dear Aunt, after all these years I finally decided to use for the first time the fountain pen you gave me as a gift for my First Communion. When you have chosen this to be my gift you certainly didn't know that, being left-handed, I would have serious difficulties to use it. During Primary School this problem costed me hours and hours writing down pages as a punishment to make me learn how not to dirt again. Dear Auntie, you don't know, but today I'm an artist and I decided to turn this 'defect' into a particularity. Your gift inspired me to create this artwork for the project I'm doing with the Dutch artist Harmen de Hoop who gave me an assignment to make a work about a childhood memory. I hope you like it. BIANCOSHOCK: SPRAY CAN-DLE - MILAN, 2017 A commemoration action aimed at the Municipality of Milan and its attempt to kill the graffiti culture. In 2015 the Municipality has offered more than 100 free walls (private and municipal) to the writers. An initiative that tried to contain the phenomenon of graffiti and, at the same time, looked like a countercultural initiative: but does painting on legal walls still belong to graffiti culture? What is more important: the beauty of the letters or the illegal action of leaving your mark?
