Without meeting Harmen de Hoop and Biancoshock will give eachother assignments to make an artwork in the city where they are. Every work will be a reaction to the one made before by the other artist. The documentation of their interventions and actions will be shown here.

BIANCOSHOCK: SPRAY CAN-DLE - MILAN, 2017 A commemoration action aimed at the Municipality of Milan and its attempt to kill the graffiti culture. In 2015 the Municipality has offered more than 100 free walls (private and municipal) to the writers. An initiative that tried to contain the phenomenon of graffiti and, at the same time, looked like a countercultural initiative: but does painting on legal walls still belong to graffiti culture? What is more important: the beauty of the letters or the illegal action of leaving your mark?

BIANCOSHOCK: SOCIAL SLIDE - TIRANA, 2016 Action performed on the Pyramid of Tirana, a monument dedicated to Enver Hoxha, orthodox Marxist-Stalinist dictator, who, from 1944 to 1985, dragged Albania into a deep isolation. This decadent Pyramid is located in the city center and it’s the symbol of the tragic period lived by the Albanians in those years. The vertex of the Pyramid represents the dictatorship and its totalitarian power, which observes and controls the entire city including the base of the Pyramid, which symbolizes the common people (repressed citizens without freedom and in a constant state of alert). The first action highlights the impossibility to undertake a climb to leadership moving in a “clean way” (with a bar of soap fixed under the shoes and held in both hands). 'Clean' understood as fair, transparent and free. The second action shows the opposite: if the "clean" comes from the vertex (the leadership) its path to reach the people would be much faster and direct (although spreading freedom sometimes can be a little bit dangerous and painful).

BIANCOSHOCK: VANTABLACK - MILAN, 2016. An entire thesis on Anish Kapoor (found on the internet) was written with an old Olivetti typewriter on a single sheet of paper. Each time the page ended it has been inserted again in the machine, overwriting the previous page until the last page of the thesis was replicated, resulting in a completely black page. It is a reflection on our society: without the appropriate opportunities for access to culture, people can not express themselves and show their thoughts and their art. It's a sort of representation of the present in which the space for culture is increasingly becoming limited. It is also a reaction to what happened recently: the famous artist Anish Kapoor has bought the rights to VANTABLACK, the most darkest black existing in the world that absorbs 99.965% of the light. Surrey Nanosystems (the producer of Vantablack) confirmed this, creating a controversy in the art world: is it acceptable and democratic that Kapoor will be the only one in the world who can use this color? Should art not be democratic by definition? The black sheet of paper shows how even the art of Anish Kapoor would be incomprehensible if someone had restricted his means to express himself.

HARMEN DE HOOP: BALLOONS FOR C.B. VAANDRAGER - ROTTERDAM, 2016. Harmen de Hoop (aged 56) inflated balloons spelling the word 'POETRY' and placed them on the grave of Cornelis Bastiaan Vaandrager, a Dutch poet who was famous in the 60's, became addicted to drugs in the 70's, wandered the streets as a misfit in the 80's and died lonely at the age of 56.
